Regarding the postponement of the prosecution's work report, which was originally scheduled for the 25th, by one week by the National Planning Committee, which serves as the transition team for the Lee Jaemyung administration, the committee stated, "The issue (prosecution reform) is so significant that we decided to allow for further deliberation."

President Lee had previously presented prosecution reform, centered on the separation of investigative and indictment powers of the prosecution, as a key campaign pledge. He also proposed measures such as implementing effective judicial oversight to prevent prosecutors from abusing their indictment authority, selecting prosecutors only from among experienced legal professionals, and introducing a system for disciplinary dismissal of prosecutors.

Jo Seungrae, spokesperson for the National Planning Committee, explained at a briefing held at the Changseongdong Annex of the Seoul Government Complex on the morning of the 25th, "The reason for postponing the report is that this issue (the separation of the prosecution's investigative and indictment powers) is considered so significant." He added, "The organizational restructuring task force is also discussing related matters." With this, the National Planning Committee has postponed the prosecution's work report twice. On the 20th, the report was halted midway, citing "insufficient analysis of the president's pledges" as the reason. On the 25th, it was postponed again.

Meanwhile, the Political and Administrative Subcommittee within the National Planning Committee has decided to rename the Special Committee for National Balanced Development as the Special Committee for National Balanced Growth. In addition, the subcommittee is scheduled to receive a work report from the Personal Information Protection Commission on this day and to discuss measures to resolve and prevent the recurrence of the SK Telecom personal information leak incident.
