This meeting was attended by a total of seven people, including the head of the Health Promotion Team at the Pocheon City Public Health Center, the team leader from the Northern Gyeonggi Regional Disabled Health Care Center, and social workers. It was organized to establish an organic cooperation system for local people with disabilities and to provide integrated health care services.
During the meeting, various cooperation measures were proposed, including the formation of a community-based rehabilitation project council and the provision of maternal health-related education for women with disabilities.
The rehabilitation exercise training consisted of a customized rehabilitation exercise program for people with disabilities registered at the public health center. Participants directly took part in the exercises and received information necessary for rehabilitation. In addition, recycled goods were distributed to participating people with disabilities.
Meanwhile, the Pocheon City Public Health Center has already been actively supporting the health improvement and independence of people with disabilities by providing home-visit health management services for people with disabilities and operating a rehabilitation exercise room within the center. In addition, the center is contributing to the prevention of secondary disabilities as well as the management of chronic diseases through various rehabilitation programs.
Park Eunsook, director of the Pocheon City Public Health Center, said, "This cooperation is especially meaningful as it allows local people with disabilities to receive more systematic and specialized rehabilitation services. We will continue to do our best to ensure a healthy life for people with disabilities in the future."
