'2025 Production Area Organization Revitalization Contest'. / Chungnam Province

Chungnam Province announced on June 25 that it held the '2025 Production Area Organization Revitalization Contest' at Splas Resom in Yesan for two days starting from June 24.

Approximately 130 people attended the event, including provincial government officials, representatives from major production area organizations in the province, and officials from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Nonghyup). During the contest, each production area organization presented their achievements and watched videos showcasing outstanding cases.

Previously, starting last month, the province accepted applications from cities and counties and conducted both quantitative and qualitative evaluations to select nine outstanding production area organizations by category. At this contest, the overall grand prize winner was chosen through participant voting.

The outstanding production area organizations by category were as follows: ▲Integrated Organization Award: Buyeo-gun Regional Nonghyup Cooperative Project Corporation ▲Farm Organization Management Award: Buyeo Nonghyup ▲Self-help Fund Award: Jiksan Nonghyup ▲Quality Management Award: Daesan Nonghyup ▲New Organization Growth Award: Seongdong Nonghyup ▲Marketing Award: Dongcheonan Nonghyup, Sedo Nonghyup ▲Online Marketing Award: Yesan Neunggeum Nonghyup ▲Export Expansion Award: Nonsan Nonghyup. In the on-site participant vote, the Jiksan Nonghyup organization in Cheonan received the overall grand prize.

Each outstanding production area organization by category will receive 20 million won in funding for organization revitalization projects, and the overall grand prize winner will receive an additional 10 million won in project funding.

Lee Jeongsam, Director of Agriculture and Livestock at Chungnam Province, said, "We will continue to discover outstanding organizations in each category, promote the revitalization and expansion of production area organizations, and do our best to strengthen the competitiveness of local agricultural product production and distribution."
