Seo collapsed at his mother's home in Daegu on the 22nd of last month and was urgently transported to the hospital, but he never regained consciousness and was declared brain-dead. The bereaved family decided to proceed with the donation, believing that it would be meaningful for Seo, who had always practiced sharing, to save other lives even after his passing.

Born in Daegu as the fifth of three sons and three daughters, Seo joined the KT Research Institute and worked as a Ph.D. in engineering for 34 years. After retirement, he cherished time with his family and enjoyed a variety of sports, including cycling, table tennis, and tennis. He is remembered as someone who lived a quiet yet sincere life, serving as a role model to those around him.

Seo's spouse, Jung Nanyeong, delivered her final farewell, saying, "Honey, thank you for leading our family so well all this time. I will cherish the beautiful days we shared for a long time. I love you, respect you, and am grateful to you. Please be happy in heaven and wait for us until we meet again."

Lee Samyeol, president of the Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency, stated, "I extend my deepest gratitude to the late donor and his family, who lived such a beautiful life. Their warm spirit of sharing has brought hope to many people."
