Incheon Third Yeonryuk Bridge Observatory, World's Highest at 180m, to Challenge Guinness Record

The observatory of the Third Yeonryuk Bridge in Incheon, which is being developed as the world's highest bridge observatory, will undergo official record certification procedures.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on June 25 that, in line with the opening of the Third Yeonryuk Bridge at the end of this year, it plans to apply for registration as the "world's highest marine bridge observatory" with Guinness World Records in the United Kingdom and the World Record Committee in the United States.

The Third Yeonryuk Bridge will feature an observatory installed at a height of 180 meters, making it the highest among marine bridges worldwide. On clear days, visitors will be able to see as far as Seoul and even North Korea. The observatory will also offer an "edge walk," allowing visitors to walk around the outer perimeter of the observatory in the air.

The space beneath the main tower will be equipped with a 271-meter-long marine walking deck, allowing tourists to stroll above the sea, as well as various convenience facilities. Currently, the world's highest bridge observatory is the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory in Maine, United States, which stands at 128 meters.
