Conservative political commentator and attorney Seo Jungwook stated, "Former President Yoon Sukyeol is visiting Seoul Asan Medical Center almost every day to care for his wife, First Lady Kim Gunhee."

On June 24, during an appearance on YTN Radio's 'Lee Ikseon Choi Sooyoung Issue & People,' Seo said, "She was admitted to the hospital expecting to stay for about a week, but a few days ago, I heard the unfortunate news that Mrs. Kim's condition had worsened," revealing this information.

As Mrs. Kim's hospitalization has lasted longer than initially expected and she has not responded to the prosecution's summons, some have expressed concerns that she might also refuse to cooperate with a special prosecutor's investigation. In response, Seo explained, "If the special prosecutor issues a summons, of course she will comply," adding, "Currently, the police and prosecution are transferring the case to the special prosecutor, and she simply has not responded to repeated summons before the transfer."

Seo further explained that the special prosecutor's investigation would be conducted in person, and regarding what has been reported, he said, "(The special prosecutor) will not conduct the investigation at the hospital." He noted that there is a preparation period of about 20 days and that the investigation period exceeds six months, so witnesses will likely be questioned first. Seo emphasized, "The special prosecutor's investigation of former President Yoon or Mrs. Kim will probably take place near the end of the investigation," and added, "They will not remain in this situation for several months, and of course, they will appear as summoned. The investigation will not be conducted at the hospital."

On the same day, Sookmyung Women's University revoked Mrs. Kim's master's degree, and as a result, Kookmin University also decided to revoke her doctoral degree. Seo commented, "The world seems too harsh," and criticized, "It is too severe toward former power and too mindful of those currently in power." He added, "If there was plagiarism, the degrees can be revoked, but if the revocation had occurred while she was still in office, it would have been seen as a courageous decision. It is regrettable that this situation is unfolding after she stepped down from her position."
