Holding the 'P.LAB Contest'
A Platform for Employees' Creative Ideas and Future Growth Engines
On June 25, Hankook & Company Group announced that it will hold the '2025 P.LAB Contest,' a voluntary research project for employees to gather creative ideas and discover future growth engines.
This contest is part of the group's culture, which encourages employees to propose new ideas and lead change, based on the 'Proactive Spirit' of Chairman Cho Hyunbum of Hankook & Company Group, who prioritizes challenge and innovation as the highest values.
After recruiting participants until the first week of July, the selected participants will spend 100 days, until October, to develop and implement their ideas through the '100-Day Project.' The winners and potential in-house ventures will then be determined through a final presentation.
Since the contest began in 2023, a total of 20 ideas have been proposed, with 4 currently being applied in the field. A representative example is the establishment of an automatic barcode scanning system for finished product appearance inspections. In addition, more than 10 ideas are actively being reviewed for field application, and further commercialization is anticipated.
A group representative stated, "This is a platform where the creativity and passion of each employee come together," and added, "We will continue to respect employees' opinions and promote the group's unique proactive culture through various innovation programs."
