ISO 14001 is an international standard for environmental management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is granted to companies that have established environmental management policies and systems to minimize environmental impact.

Lotte Property & Development explained that it operates based on environmental policies such as compliance with environmental regulations, minimizing the generation of pollutants, establishing and implementing environmental goals, and communicating with stakeholders. The company also systematically manages greenhouse gas and waste emissions, as well as energy and water usage at Lotte World Tower and Mall, in response to climate change.

Kyung Minho, Head of Technology and Safety Division at Lotte Property & Development, said, "Through this ISO 14001 certification, Lotte Property & Development's efforts and capabilities in environmental management have been recognized internationally. We will continue to consider and practice various measures to protect the global environment and strive to set an example in environmental management."

Meanwhile, Lotte Property & Development has also maintained its Energy Management System certification (ISO 50001), which it first obtained in 2019, by renewing it every three years. ISO 50001 is a certification awarded to companies that operate efficient energy-saving and management systems. Lotte Property & Development produces approximately 18% of its total energy consumption from renewable energy sources through various facilities?such as hydrothermal, geothermal, solar, and wind energy?installed at Lotte World Tower.
