Baegot Library in Siheung to Launch "An Imaginary Art Museum of My Mind in the Evening" Program

Participatory Program Includes Lectures, Appreciation, Writing, and Discussions

Baegot Library in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, will launch an art humanities program titled "An Imaginary Art Museum of My Mind in the Evening" starting from July 29.

This program was organized as part of the "2025 Wisdom School" project, which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and supervised by the Arts Council Korea. The Wisdom School project focuses on enriching the cultural lives of citizens and highlighting the unique cultural characteristics of each region by utilizing the humanities resources of public libraries.

"An Imaginary Art Museum of My Mind in the Evening" will be held every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., for a total of 12 sessions, from July 29 to October 21.

The program will broadly cover topics such as the impact of art on life, the various functions of art, and different methods of interpreting art. In addition to theory, participants will have the opportunity to directly view artworks and engage in writing activities, allowing them to develop their artistic sensitivity and experience psychological healing through hands-on activities.

Those interested in participating can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the "Siheung City Library" website starting from July 2.

Jeon Haengju, Director of Siheung Central Library, said, "We hope that through this Wisdom School, citizens will have the opportunity to step away from their daily routines and find healing through art," adding, "We will continue to discover a variety of humanities programs to meet the cultural needs of our citizens."
