Active Promotion of Customized and Participatory Integrity Initiatives
Top Integrity Rankings Maintained for Three Years under the 8th Elected Administration
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province conducted the "2025 Anti-Corruption and Integrity Education" in the county office's main conference room.
The training, held on June 24, was attended by over 300 people, including County Governor Lee Seunghwa, senior officials at grade 5 and above, promoted employees, and newly appointed staff.
During the session, Jeong Seungho, a professional instructor from the Anti-Corruption Training Institute of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, provided an easy-to-understand explanation of key amendments and violation cases related to the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act and the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, as well as the Code of Conduct for Public Officials (regulations related to the prohibition of abuse of power). In particular, the instructor received a positive response for presenting complex legal interpretations and practical directions for integrity in an engaging manner.
Sancheong County plans to continue promoting customized integrity training and participatory integrity initiatives to make integrity a part of daily life and to build a trusted public service sector.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "Integrity is a fundamental virtue for public officials and the starting point of trust from residents," adding, "We will do our utmost to foster an organizational culture where even the smallest matters are handled transparently and honestly."
Meanwhile, Sancheong County achieved the top grade (Grade 1) in the "2024 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions" organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. The county also maintained a high ranking by achieving Grade 2 in both 2022 and 2023 during the three years of the 8th popularly elected administration.
