The city's collection department, in collaboration with the public relations office, used drones to locate two vehicles abandoned by a closed corporation and disposed of them through public auction. This marks the first case in which drones have been successfully deployed in the field of delinquent tax collection.
The company in question is a closed corporation that owes 130 million won in local taxes, and the proceeds from the auction will be used to cover the outstanding tax amount.
Kim Sujeong, head of the collection department, stated, "With this achievement as a starting point, we plan to actively apply advanced technologies such as drones to administrative operations and strengthen the foundation for smart tax collection administration. We will also continue to track down intentional concealment of assets to ensure tax justice."
