President Lee May Personally Respond to Public Inquiries
The Office of the President announced on June 24 that it is operating the "People's Mailbox" to reflect public opinion in state affairs.
According to the Office of the President, the People's Mailbox accepts online questions via Google Forms on all topics, including the economy, people's livelihoods, society, politics, and diplomacy and security. All questions submitted are reported to President Lee Jaemyung, and among these, President Lee plans to personally respond to public opinions that have a high level of social consensus or are particularly timely.
The Office of the President stated, "The launch of the People's Mailbox reflects President Lee's strong commitment to communication with the public," adding, "It embodies the President's philosophy of statecraft, which is to listen to the voices of the people and swiftly put them into action."
The Office of the President further added, "We will continue to expand communication channels so that the people can remain at the center of all policy decisions, and we will strive to create changes that the public can truly feel."
Previously, when President Lee served as the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, he also operated an online communication platform called "Questions for Everyone Q" to gather public opinions on various policy issues.
