On June 23, Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province hosted a special "peer gathering" between Mayor Donggeun Kim and third-year public officials at the local cafe "Siwolui Jeongwon," as part of the "Cafe Mujigae Season 3+" program.

This event brought together Mayor Kim, now in his third year of the 8th popularly elected term, and six employees who joined the city government in 2022. It served as a platform for communication, allowing participants to reflect on the changes and growth experienced over the past three years.

The attendees, who all began their public service careers at Uijeongbu City Hall three years ago, shared their experiences with city administration and personal development, forming a sense of camaraderie based on this common starting point.

In particular, they engaged in candid conversations, exchanging insights about administrative progress and organizational culture as perceived from their respective positions. This deepened their shared understanding of the city's positive changes and the importance of field-oriented governance.

The employees in attendance remarked, "It was a meaningful opportunity to look back on how the excitement and nervousness we felt when we first joined have evolved into the pride and sense of responsibility we feel today."
