Osang Healthcare to Supply Personal Blood Glucose Meters to Yuhan Corporation

Osang Healthcare, a leading company in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) sector, announced on the 24th that it will supply a new personal blood glucose meter to Yuhan Corporation through an original design manufacturing (ODM) agreement covering research, development, and production.

This high-performance personal blood glucose meter (BGM) incorporates over 20 years of accumulated technology and expertise. It meets international quality standards (ISO 15197:2013), enables measurement of both fingertip capillary and venous blood, and increases accuracy with a wide hematocrit range (10-70%).

User convenience has also been greatly improved. Blood glucose levels are displayed in color for intuitive confirmation. A large liquid crystal display (LCD) screen and a newly added test strip ejection button further enhance ease of use.

Osang Healthcare conducts its business primarily in overseas markets, with 80-90% of its sales generated from exports. The company has not supplied separate original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products in the domestic blood glucose meter market. Since signing a comprehensive business cooperation agreement with Yuhan Corporation in 2023, the two companies have discussed various avenues for collaboration. Supplying blood glucose meters through ODM is part of this initiative.

A company representative stated, "We will sell the latest high-performance products nationwide through Yuhan Corporation's pharmacy network," and added, "We plan to complete our blood glucose meter portfolio by launching networked hospital-use blood glucose meters and continuous glucose monitors as well."
