On the 24th, spokesperson Kang Yujeong addressed reports during a briefing at the presidential office in Yongsan that President Lee would hold a press conference on July 3, marking his 30th day in office. She stated, "There will be a press conference, and once it is confirmed, we will announce the date."

She added, "We cannot say definitively that it will take place on the 30th day since inauguration," and continued, "We are currently collecting public opinion and questions from the public, and once that period is over, we have a plan in place."

She further emphasized, "We have never said it would definitely be on the 30th day," and explained, "The information that the press conference will be held on the 30th day since inauguration is partly correct and partly incorrect."

Historically, presidents have generally held their first press conferences around 100 days after taking office. President Lee is reportedly considering holding his first press conference at an earlier date. An official from the presidential office explained that this is part of efforts to strengthen communication with the public.
