Lower Prices Through Direct Transactions
Limited to 6,000 Trays, On Sale Until Sold Out
E-Land Kims Club announced on June 24 that it will sell a tray of 30 special eggs for 6,990 won starting from June 25 until supplies run out.
This special offer is being introduced at Kims Club stores nationwide, limited to 6,000 trays, in an effort to ease the burden on consumers' grocery expenses as egg prices continue to rise daily.
This special-priced egg promotion was planned based on direct transactions with laying farms. E-Land Kims Club directly purchases eggs produced by approximately one million hens at farms located in clean areas with no history of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI). By doing so, the company has reduced distribution steps and lowered prices.
E-Land Kims Club inspects the distribution price of 30-egg trays every two weeks and plans to continuously offer reasonable prices that customers can feel are fair.
A representative from E-Land Kims Club stated, "As egg prices have recently increased, consumers are feeling a greater financial burden, so we have decided to offer products at reasonable prices," adding, "We will continue to secure both stable supply and price competitiveness through direct transactions and product planning."
With growing consumer interest in animal welfare, E-Land Kims Club plans to gradually increase the proportion of antibiotic-free fertilized egg products. The company also intends to strengthen product planning that considers not only price but also animal welfare and consumer trust.
Meanwhile, E-Land Kims Club is a supermarket subsidiary operated by E-Land Retail and is strengthening its position as a specialized food-focused distribution channel.
