The Global Accelerating Support Program is designed to help promising startups expand and grow overseas by providing both domestic and international acceleration programs and funding for overseas expansion. This year, nine ministries are participating, leveraging their expertise and global capabilities in various industrial sectors to provide tailored support for the global expansion of 148 promising startups. In particular, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to strengthen specialized support for domestic artificial intelligence (AI) startups, focusing on the U.S. market, which leads the global market and has abundant AI infrastructure, in order to foster growth and enhance global competitiveness.
At the launch ceremony, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups presented achievements and best practices in startup support, emphasizing the importance of inter-ministerial collaboration. The ministry also introduced pan-government startup support initiatives such as the Global Accelerating Support Program and Challenge! K-Startup, and outlined this year's implementation plans. DeepSales, a company that participated in last year's Global Accelerating Support Program, attended the event to share its overseas expansion results and experiences. During the subsequent networking session, representatives from the ministries, program organizers, and participating companies exchanged questions and answers about business items, global expansion plans, and their aspirations.
Sungseop Kim, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "The nine ministries will come together to open a new chapter of cooperation in supporting startups," and added, "We will unite the capabilities of each ministry and organically connect our resources to become a strong partner for startups."
