On June 24, Jeonbuk Province signed an investment agreement at Jeonju City Hall with Jeonju City, the Innopolis Foundation, and the companies seeking to move in, resulting in a total investment of 77.3 billion won and the creation of 226 new jobs.

Under this agreement, the companies moving in plan to build factories on a total area of 16,100 pyeong. These are leading small and medium-sized enterprises in key industries that Jeonbuk Province is strategically fostering, including carbon materials, hydrogen, robotics, secondary batteries, and aerospace. They are expected to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the industrial complex by producing high value-added, technology-based products.

The nine companies moving in are Ikseong Co., Ltd., FreeTechMI Co., Ltd., NanoSolution Co., Ltd., DeckCarbon Co., Ltd., SM Electronics Co., Ltd., EcoFEM Co., Ltd., JNG Co., Ltd., Palbok Industry Co., Ltd., and HiSol Co., Ltd. These companies possess a wide range of technological capabilities, including automotive soundproofing materials, carbon nanotubes, aircraft components, solar devices, and polymer electrolyte membranes.

The Jeonju Carbon Material National Industrial Complex is being developed on a total area of 200,000 pyeong and is scheduled for its first lot sale at the end of this month. The industrial complex's location within the city provides excellent residential conditions, and its designation as an Opportunity Development Zone allows for tax and administrative support, which is also positively influencing company attraction.

With this investment agreement, the province has achieved cumulative investment results in the carbon industrial complex of 22 companies and a total of 237.1 billion won. Going forward, the province plans to focus on expanding business agreements to attract promising companies centered on strategic industries and building corporate support infrastructure.

Kim Intae, Director of Corporate Attraction Support at the province, stated, "We will spare no effort in attracting continued investment and supporting companies so that the Jeonju Carbon Industrial Complex can become the center of Korea's carbon industry."
