Changwon Metropolitan City to Create a Cultural and Artistic Space
for Citizens to Enjoy Together
In celebration of Changwon Citizens' Day, a fireworks show will be held over the sea at Jinhaeru.
The Changwon Metropolitan City Government in Gyeongnam announced that the "15th Changwon Citizens' Day Multimedia Fireworks Show" will take place at 8:30 p.m. on June 30 over the waters in front of Jinhaeru.
This fireworks show has been organized to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Changwon Citizens' Day and to promote unity among citizens. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a one-hour program featuring performances by the Naval Education Command's Korean traditional music band, the Beotsori Choir, and local singers. These performances will create a cultural and artistic space for citizens to enjoy together. Starting at 8:30 p.m., the official ceremony will commence, followed by a multimedia fireworks show that combines music and lighting.
For the convenience of visitors, the Changwon Metropolitan City Government has secured 600 parking spaces inside the Naval Education Command near Jinhaeru. The parking lot will be available until 10:00 p.m.
Lee Seongmin, Director of Culture, Tourism and Sports, said, "We are very pleased to hold a fireworks show in celebration of Changwon Citizens' Day," adding, "We hope many people will come together and enjoy the event."
Meanwhile, July 1 is Changwon Citizens' Day. On that day, a commemorative ceremony and celebratory concert will be held at Changwon Gymnasium starting at 6:30 p.m., featuring popular singers such as Koyote, Hwang Garam, and Park Seojin.
