On the 18th (local time), T'way Air celebrated the introduction of its fourth B737-8 aircraft at the Boeing Delivery Center in Seattle, USA, the company announced on the 24th.

This model will be followed by the addition of 16 more units by 2027, gradually replacing the 26 B737-800NG aircraft currently in operation. The next-generation wide-body A330-900NEO will also be introduced starting next year. As a result, the average age of the entire fleet is expected to decrease from the current 13.4 years to 8.9 years by the end of 2027.

The B737-8 incorporates Boeing's latest technology, offering up to 15% fuel savings and a 13% reduction in carbon emissions compared to existing aircraft of the same class. Equipped with high-performance LEAP-1B engines, it ensures both fuel efficiency and operational safety.

With the introduction of its fourth B737-8, T'way Air plans to further strengthen its competitiveness on domestic and short- to medium-haul international routes. The aircraft will first be deployed on routes to Japan, with plans to expand to Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia in the future. The company expects that more flexible scheduling will significantly reduce delays and cancellations in unexpected situations.

A T'way Air official stated, "The introduction of our fourth B737-8 is not just an expansion of our fleet, but an important step toward sustainable management and enhanced operational safety," adding, "We will continue to do our best to provide rational services with safety as our top priority."

Meanwhile, with the addition of these aircraft, T'way Air now operates a total of 43 aircraft, including B777, B737, and A330 models.
