This promotional center has been established to introduce the concept of social economy and the activities of local social economy enterprises to citizens and public officials, and to share related systems and achievements. It is being promoted as part of the 'Yangju City Social Economy Promotion Support Project', and participating companies are also provided with opportunities for promotion and sales.
The promotional center consists of four themed zones: an introduction to the concept of social economy and support organizations; the current status of social economy enterprises in Yangju City; an introduction to companies participating in 2025 and an exhibition of companies with excellent Social Value Index (SVI) scores; and the priority purchasing system.
During the exhibition period, a promotional and sales booth featuring three social economy enterprises will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Citizens can directly experience and purchase a variety of products, including meal kits, clothing, and welfare items.
A total of 21 companies, including Damsimpo Co., Ltd., Lemuel Social Cooperative, Bokji Union Co., Ltd., Yangju City Merchants Cooperative, and Duson Co., Ltd., will participate in the event to broaden their connection with citizens.
Mayor Kang Soo-hyun stated, "The social economy is not just an economic activity, but an important alternative for solving local issues," and added, "I hope this will be an opportunity for more citizens to understand the value of the social economy and support local enterprises."
