AttoResearch Unveils Lightweight Cloud Platform to Reduce Costs and Time

Presenting Alternatives to VMware's 90% Market Share
"An Economical and Efficient Solution"
Collaboration with Jungwon NSYS... Expanding Market Reach

Cloud specialist company AttoResearch has officially announced version 3.0 of its private cloud solution 'Cloud&' and its lightweight cloud platform 'Cloud& Lite'.

On June 25, AttoResearch stated that, together with Jungwon NSYS, it recently held a 'Cloud& Lite' seminar at the Jungwon NSYS headquarters in Seoul.

AttoResearch Unveils Lightweight Cloud Platform to Reduce Costs and Time

This seminar was organized for Jungwon NSYS's major partners, aiming to address the market uncertainty caused by recent changes in the VMware environment and to present domestic alternatives to these challenges.

VMware is a cloud solution product of Broadcom and occupies about 90% of the domestic cloud solution market. Broadcom has discontinued the sale of perpetual licenses and switched to a subscription-based licensing model, which has increased cost burdens for client companies.

Cloud& Lite is an economical and efficient solution for companies looking to convert existing virtualization environments to the cloud or build new cloud infrastructures. It supports seamless migration of existing systems through integration with AttoResearch's proprietary VM migration tool, 'VM Migrator'.

Through this, companies can maximize the use of their existing IT assets while significantly reducing time and costs during the cloud transition process. In addition, Cloud& Lite supports both perpetual and subscription licenses, reducing initial investment burdens and enabling flexible annual contract-based operation. Resources can be adjusted flexibly according to the company's situation, which is expected to deliver long-term cost savings.

Cloud& Lite features an intuitive and easy-to-use user interface (UI), allowing even users unfamiliar with technology to manage their environments easily. It also provides a graphical user interface (GUI) similar to VMware, enabling immediate adoption and operation without separate training.

A live demonstration of Cloud& Lite was also conducted during the seminar, and both Jungwon NSYS and AttoResearch announced plans to actively expand into the cloud market through this collaboration.

AttoResearch has proven its technological capabilities through various public projects, including the Sejong City public cloud transition pilot project, the Gwangju AI Center design, and the Bucheon smart city construction. The company holds 91 domestic and international patents and has received several awards: selection as a 2022 Global ICT Future Unicorn Company, the Presidential Award at the 23rd SME Technology Innovation Competition, designation as a 2024 Seoul-type Small Giant Company, and recognition as an Excellent Corporate Research Institute in the second half of 2024.

Jaeung Jung, CEO of AttoResearch, stated, "Based on our proprietary technology and stable partner ecosystem, we will provide customized cloud infrastructure tailored to the diverse needs of the market," adding, "We will create an environment where customers and partners can grow together."
