Polaris Seawon Supplies Key HVAC Component for North American Robotaxi Electric Vehicles

Polaris Seawon, a company specializing in automotive thermal management, announced on June 24 that it has officially entered the core supply chain of the global future mobility industry by supplying its key component, the "Header Condenser," to next-generation autonomous electric vehicle platforms that are being commercialized in major North American cities.

The recipient is an autonomous driving subsidiary of the world's largest ICT company, a global leader in robotaxi services based in Silicon Valley. This company is leading the global market in both autonomous vehicle technology and commercialization speed, currently operating commercial robotaxi services in several North American cities. With plans for further global expansion, its influence is expected to grow significantly.

This supply deal goes beyond simple parts delivery, as it demonstrates that Polaris Seawon has proven the stability of its technology for integrated autonomous and electric vehicle platforms. Especially as the electric vehicle industry faces a temporary demand slowdown (chasm), while demand based on autonomous driving continues to grow structurally, this marks a significant turning point for Polaris Seawon’s mid- to long-term profitability and valuation expansion.

The supplied Header Condenser is a core component that enhances thermal management efficiency within electric vehicle HVAC systems, directly impacting vehicle safety, driving range, and passenger comfort. It is also considered an essential element in Integrated Thermal Management Systems (ITMS), which are currently a major focus for the automotive industry.

Through this supply agreement, Polaris Seawon expects several positive effects: ▲ enhanced reference value from securing a global top-tier autonomous driving client ▲ increased potential for follow-up orders as demand for next-generation platforms expands ▲ greater export of HVAC systems and diversification of revenue streams ▲ and higher added value for its existing pipe-based technologies.

In addition, the company aims to further strengthen its position as a specialized component supplier for future vehicles, in line with the long-term expansion of the autonomous and electric vehicle markets.

A Polaris Seawon representative stated, "This supply deal is a proven case where our global-level technological and manufacturing quality capabilities have been applied and verified in actual commercial autonomous vehicles. We will continue to expand our supply chain into the global autonomous electric vehicle market, including North America, and grow into a key component supplier in the future mobility sector."

Meanwhile, Polaris Seawon has expanded its production capacity by opening a third factory (2,977 square meters of land, 1,804 square meters of total floor area) in Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. The facility is currently operating based on pipe production equipment, and after completing the brazing process and customer quality certifications, it plans to enter full-scale mass production.
