The 'SWU Free Life School' is an example of expanding Seoul Women's University's founding philosophy of 'life education' into a residential lifelong learning program. It is a gap year program designed for citizens in need of rest and recovery.

Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their lives and explore new directions through sensory experiences such as pottery, urban farming, walking meditation, and eco-friendly food experiences, as well as time for contemplation in nature.

This program is scheduled to be held a total of five times this year.

In addition, the program will broaden its participant base this year to include a diverse range of citizens, such as individuals with borderline intelligence and their families, community activists, North Korean defectors, and platform and service workers.

Roh Seungyong, Director of the Lifelong Education Center at Seoul Women's University, stated, "I hope the SWU Free Life School becomes a space where everyone can share their life stories with dignity, regardless of pace or approach," adding, "We will continue to do our best to provide ongoing lifelong education opportunities to a wide range of citizens."
