This year's ceremony, following last year's format, will be held as a regional tour event to expand participation opportunities for Korean War veterans residing in provincial areas. Daejeon, the host city for this year's event, is recognized as a city of patriotism and veterans affairs, having served as the temporary capital during the Korean War (from June 27 to July 16, 1950) and as the site of the Battle of Daejeon (Battle of the Geumgang Defense Line), which contributed to the successful establishment of the Nakdong River defense line.

Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Kang Jeongae stated, "Today's Republic of Korea stands on the great sacrifices and dedication of the Korean War heroes who demonstrated unwavering spirit at the risk of their lives," adding, "The government will do its utmost to ensure that the noble sacrifices of these heroes are remembered together with the people, and that future generations inherit this legacy, fostering a society that respects national heroes and those in uniform, and where veterans affairs become a part of everyday culture."

Meanwhile, at the 75th anniversary ceremony of the Korean War, badges from the "121723 Taegukgi to Find Until the End" campaign?which commemorates the 121,723 fallen soldiers of the Korean armed forces during the war?will be distributed to attendees. On the same day, a special booth will be set up on the second floor of Seoul Station to distribute these badges to the public and hold additional commemorative events.
