Trump: "Iran's Lukewarm Retaliatory Attack... No American Casualties"

"13 Out of 14 Missiles Intercepted...
Hoping for No More Hatred"

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States effectively responded to Iran's retaliatory attack by intercepting 13 out of 14 missiles, with no American casualties reported.

On the 23rd (local time), President Trump stated on his social networking service (SNS), Truth Social, "Iran issued a very lukewarm official response to our destruction of their nuclear facilities," adding these details.

On this day, Iran launched missiles at U.S. military bases located in Qatar and Iraq in retaliation for the U.S. airstrikes on three of Iran's nuclear facilities on the 21st.

President Trump said, "This was what we expected and we responded effectively. Fourteen missiles were launched, of which thirteen were intercepted. One missile was allowed to fly freely because it was launched in a non-threatening direction." He continued, "I am pleased to report that not a single American was injured and there was almost no damage."

He emphasized, "The most important thing is that I hope there will be no more hatred," and added, "I thank Iran for notifying us in advance (of the attack plan) so that there would be no casualties."

President Trump stated, "Perhaps now Iran can move forward for peace and harmony in the region," and added, "I will also strongly encourage Israel to take the same path." He also said, "Thank you for your attention to this matter."

President Trump had previously warned that the United States would respond with greater force if Iran retaliated against the U.S. military's attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. However, since Iran gave prior notice of its retaliatory attack on this day, and President Trump's message is interpreted as a call for de-escalation, it is considered highly likely that the United States will not launch a counterattack.
