Air Premia: "Please Call Our Premium Economy 'Wide Premium' Now"

Name Change Effective from July: Emphasizing Differentiated Competitiveness
Industry-Leading Seat Pitch of 42 to 46 Inches

On June 23, Air Premia announced that it will change the name of its premium economy class to "Wide Premium."

Air Premia: "Please Call Our Premium Economy 'Wide Premium' Now"

The new name will be applied across all customer touchpoints, including the airline ticket reservation website, airport counters, in-flight services, and boarding passes, starting from July 1.

Air Premia explained that this name change is a strategic move to emphasize the differentiated competitiveness of its premium economy class and to more clearly communicate the service differences compared to other airlines.

An Air Premia representative stated, "Although premium economy class has become common in the airline industry recently, seat spacing and services vary greatly by airline, causing increasing confusion among consumers. Therefore, we have adopted 'Wide Premium' as our brand name to intuitively convey our strength of offering a wider and more comfortable premium economy."

The representative added, "By highlighting our industry-leading seat pitch of 42 to 46 inches within the same class, we aim to ensure that customers can clearly recognize the differentiated value. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our position by providing a true premium experience at reasonable prices."

Air Premia's Wide Premium is an independent class that offers wider seats and upgraded services compared to standard economy. At launch, the airline used the unique brand name "Premia42," and later operated under the internationally recognized name "Premium Economy."

This class offers a seat pitch of 42 to 46 inches, a 13-inch HD touchscreen with entertainment options, a dedicated check-in counter and priority boarding, complimentary meals and beverages (including two types of wine), 32 kg of free checked baggage, and an amenity kit for long-haul flights.
