Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters donated 7,495,000 won to Joeun Donghaeng Social Cooperative for a support project aimed at education and job creation for visually impaired massage therapists. Provided by Gwangju Community Chest of Korea
Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 23rd that the Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters donated 7,495,000 won to Joeun Donghaeng Social Cooperative for a support project aimed at education and job creation for visually impaired massage therapists.
This donation was delivered through Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae and will be used for the "Maternal Health Manager Training Program" and the "Together Health Support Service" projects carried out by Joeun Donghaeng Social Cooperative.
This project is a social contribution initiative that provides educational opportunities for female visually impaired massage therapists and subsequently supports health management services for mothers from vulnerable groups and families with children with disabilities. In particular, it was designed to expand job opportunities and support the economic independence of visually impaired individuals in response to the increased demand for massage services, utilizing government postpartum care support funds and the "First Meeting Voucher" in line with government birth encouragement policies.
Since last year, Joeun Donghaeng Social Cooperative has independently conducted maternal health manager training programs and has also consistently provided massage volunteer services for vulnerable mothers once a month.
An official from the Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters stated, "We decided on this donation to realize the value of mutual growth together with the local community," and added, "We will continue to engage in sharing activities that provide practical help to the socially disadvantaged."
