Formalizing AI Strategy and Implementation System
Korea Airport Corporation announced on the 23rd that it held the launch ceremony for the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Committee' at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

The AI Innovation Committee was established to systematically introduce AI across all aspects of airport operations in line with the government's policy to expand AI utilization in the public sector. The committee consists of six subcommittees?Strategy and Institutional Improvement, Operational Innovation, Safety and Ethics, Technology and Infrastructure, Revenue Generation, and On-site Improvement?as well as an advisory panel and an AI working group. The president of the corporation serves as the chairperson, and the committee will drive company-wide AI-based business innovation and digital transformation.
Starting next month, each subcommittee will identify improvement tasks and develop implementation plans that reflect AI demand at airport sites. The progress of each task will be reviewed through regular management meetings and consultations.
The corporation aims to lead AI-based innovation throughout the airport industry and to establish an internal system that can proactively respond to institutional changes, such as the government's AI policies and the enactment of the 'AI Framework Act.' The company also plans to contribute to the creation of an AI ecosystem in the public sector.
Lee Jungki, Acting President of Korea Airport Corporation, stated, "The launch of this committee will serve as a turning point for redefining the corporation's organizational capabilities and technology strategy," adding, "Through AI-based innovation, we will realize digital public services that the public can truly experience."
