Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Donggeun) announced on the 23rd that it will be recruiting the 8th Women's Friendly City Supporters, 'Yeouiju' (an abbreviation for 'Owner of Women's Friendly City Uijeongbu'), from June 25 to July 4.

The Yeouiju Supporters are a citizen participation group that engages in various activities to create a women's friendly city, including identifying elements of gender inequality in everyday life and conducting promotional campaigns to spread a culture of gender equality.
Any Uijeongbu citizen can participate, and during the two-year appointment period, members will take part in meetings, training sessions, and various events aimed at building a women's friendly city.
Citizens who wish to participate can download the application form from the public notice section of the city website (www.ui4u.go.kr), fill it out, and submit it either in person to the Women and Childcare Division or by email to the person in charge (runtw7@korea.kr).
