Double Transfer Station Apartment on Lines 4 and 7 in Gangnam Area, "World Meridian Seocho" Draws Attention

An apartment complex with a "double transfer station" advantage, allowing residents to conveniently use two subway stations in Seoul's Gangnam area, is drawing attention as it launches new sales.

The term "double transfer station" refers to a location that is either adjacent to an interchange station where two subway lines intersect, or allows access to two different stations on separate lines. This offers even greater transportation convenience than a typical station-area property, making these locations highly desirable for residential living. Additionally, their rarity often leads to higher property value appreciation.

The value of "double transfer station" properties is also evident in the subscription market. According to Korea Real Estate Board’s subscription platform, in the previous year, new developments classified as "double transfer station" properties in the Seoul metropolitan area recorded a first-priority average competition rate of 155 to 1. This is approximately three times higher than the 55 to 1 average competition rate for standard station-area properties during the same period.

Real estate experts commented, "Double transfer station properties are not just about transportation convenience. They also expand residents' living radius and improve commuting efficiency, which is why they are particularly popular among people in their 30s and 40s who prioritize proximity between home and workplace. Furthermore, the rarity of locations that meet the double transfer station criteria makes them highly attractive from a long-term investment perspective."

Amid these trends, a high-end apartment complex offering "double transfer station" benefits in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, is making headlines. "World Meridian Seocho" is the development in question, and its sales promotion center is currently open.

"World Meridian Seocho" is a double transfer station apartment in Seoul’s Gangnam area, conveniently located near both Line 7 and Line 4. The complex is about a two-minute walk from Isu Station (Line 7) and Chongshin University Station (Line 4). This allows residents to travel directly, without transfers, to major destinations across Seoul such as Seoul Station, Dongdaemun Station, Gangnam-gu Office Station, Gasan Digital Complex, as well as to key locations like Incheon Airport.

Benefiting from the double transfer station advantage in Seoul’s Gangnam area, "World Meridian Seocho" is located in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu. It consists of a single building with four basement levels and eleven above-ground floors, offering 84-square-meter exclusive apartments. To reduce the initial financial burden, the development offers a fixed first contract payment of 20 million won and interest-free interim payments. In addition, buyers can select units on a first-come, first-served basis without a subscription savings account, attracting significant interest from home seekers.

Alongside the double transfer station advantage, positive transportation developments are also drawing attention. At Sadang Station, just one stop from Chongshin University Station on Line 4, the planned GTX-D line is under development. Major planned stops on the GTX-D line include Suseo, Samseong, Jamsil, and Gangnam?core downtown areas of Seoul. The line will also enable rapid access to Seongnam Moran, Gwangmyeong, Siheung, Incheon Geomdan, and Incheon Airport.

The educational environment is also excellent. "World Meridian Seocho" is surrounded by schools that belong to Gangnam’s prestigious school district 8. Within walking distance are Bangbae Elementary School, Seomun Girls’ Middle School, and Seomun Girls’ High School. All elementary, middle, and high school levels are nearby, and the Bangbae private education district is about 1 km away, making it ideal for children’s learning.

Residents can also enjoy Gangnam’s lifestyle infrastructure and a nature-friendly residential environment. The commercial district centered on Isu Station is nearby, as are Namseong Sage Market and the Bangbae-dong caf? street, all within walking distance. In addition, various shopping and cultural facilities, including Shinsegae Department Store and cinemas, are close by. The Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital can be reached by car in about 10 minutes. There are also abundant green spaces, including Hyeonchungwon Neighborhood Park, Bangbae Park, Dogumeori Park, and Samil Park.

- Seocho-gu, poised for transformation as an economic, cultural, and transportation hub with new development projects... Maximized spatial efficiency through specialized design

Expectations are rising due to development projects such as the Seoripul Complex Development Project and the Sadang Integrated Transfer Center. In nearby Seocho-dong, the "Seoripul Complex Development Project" is scheduled to break ground this year. This project involves transforming the former Defense Security Command site into a complex for cultural and business facilities. Upon completion, it is expected to become a new economic and cultural hub for Seoul’s Gangnam area.

The "Sadang Integrated Transfer Center" is scheduled to begin construction in 2026. The project will build a transfer center on the Bangbae-dong Sadang parking lot site, with plans to include commercial, office, and cultural facilities in addition to transportation infrastructure. This is expected to improve the local transportation environment, create jobs, and enhance residential value.

Another highlight is the application of various specialized designs to maximize space efficiency, making this a practical residential option in the Gangnam area. The most popular 84-square-meter exclusive layout is available in four types (A through D), offering a wide range of choices for buyers. Spacious living rooms, master bedroom powder rooms, and expanded balconies further enhance space efficiency.

Meanwhile, the "World Meridian Seocho" sales promotion center is located in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and move-in is scheduled for July 2026.
