Korea Startup Forum Successfully Concludes IR Program 'The PITCH' for Early-Stage Startups

Eight Promising Startups Selected for IR Pitching
On-the-Spot Meeting Opportunities Between VCs and Startups

The Korea Startup Forum announced on the 23rd that it held the IR program 'The PITCH' for early-stage startups at the Global Startup Center (GSC) in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 20th.


'The PITCH' was designed to provide promising early-stage startups with practical IR opportunities and investor connections, and to promote exchanges between entrepreneurs and ecosystem experts through the Korea Startup Forum. Eight startups, all Korea Startup Forum member companies that had secured early investment at the seed to pre-Series A stage, were selected through a preliminary screening process to advance to the main pitching stage.

First, in the main pitching session, companies including Greenish, GotganLogis, DeepPlant, LegalCare, Smeem, Geogrid, Zendive, and Thyssen Biopharm took the stage to be evaluated by a panel of judges, focusing on their technological capabilities and business models. Han Wonil, CEO of Thyssen Biopharm, which won the main stage, said, "This award will help us attract future investment."


Before the main stage, an open session called the 'Elevator Pitch' was held for all startups attending The PITCH. In this session, startups could visit one of five venture capital (VC) zones set up on site, freely present for three minutes, and then receive ten minutes of mentoring and feedback from the respective VC.


Afterward, global startup teams consisting of GSC resident companies such as Corallo, Anzettech, and Schoicehapsida introduced their core technologies and business models, demonstrating their potential to enter the Korean market and collaborate with domestic companies, bringing the event to a close.


Han Sangwoo, Chairman of the Korea Startup Forum, said, "This edition of The PITCH went beyond simple pitching, focusing on directly connecting investors and startups and strengthening practical capabilities for attracting investment," adding, "We will continue to work on enhancing entrepreneurial value and spreading innovation to support the growth of even more startups."
