Dongmin Industrial Cooperative Undergoes Eco-Friendly Certification for 100% In-House Recycled PE Fabric with Proprietary Technology

Dongmin Industrial Cooperative Undergoes Eco-Friendly Certification for 100% In-House Recycled PE Fabric with Proprietary Technology

Dongmin Industrial Cooperative (CEO Kang Woncheol) is currently undergoing eco-friendly certification procedures for its in-house produced recycled PE fabric, including GR certification (Excellent Recycled Product) and Environmental Label certification.

Dongmin Industrial Cooperative is a recycling specialist that has developed its own recycling process to address the environmental issues caused by waste silage vinyl, which was previously landfilled or incinerated in rural areas, leading to air and soil pollution. The recycled PE fabric now undergoing eco-friendly certification is a non-woven sheet-type fabric made entirely from the company's own recycled PE materials.

According to the company, conventional waste vinyl was often not properly processed, resulting in environmental pollution and fire hazards. However, through continuous technological development and innovation, Dongmin Industrial Cooperative has transformed this waste into high-quality recycled PE materials and fabrics. The company is leading the way in building a sustainable industrial ecosystem by going beyond simple recycling to realize eco-friendly promotional and consumer products. The fabric currently undergoing eco-friendly certification is this very material.

In particular, the company has dramatically improved the odor issues associated with conventional recycled materials, making it possible to use the product not only in industrial applications but also in the consumer goods market. The fabric boasts excellent durability and waterproof properties, ensuring no deformation even during long-term storage. It also offers a luxurious texture similar to synthetic leather, making it suitable as an eco-friendly material for consumer goods. By using 100% recycled materials without mixing in other substances, the company achieves complete resource circulation, and the fabric can be recycled again after use, which is a significant advantage.

The company has already obtained the international GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification, and once additional eco-friendly certifications are completed, the quality and environmental friendliness of the product will be officially verified, further enhancing its credibility.

The recycled PE fabric is establishing itself as a practical alternative material in the eco-friendly promotional and consumer goods markets, contributing to the reduction of single-use plastics. The company has developed a wide range of products, including eco-bags, pouches, and office supplies, enabling broad applications.

Dongmin Industrial Cooperative produces optimized products for corporate and institutional ESG campaign promotions through customized logo printing and design customization services. Its eco-bags and sorting bins have received the 100% certification mark under the Ministry of Environment's "Recycled Material Usage Ratio Labeling System," which credibly guarantees their eco-friendliness and reliability.

Additionally, Dongmin Industrial Cooperative recently obtained the direct production confirmation certificate for handbags (including eco-bags), officially recognizing its production capability to independently design and manufacture eco-friendly handbags using recycled PE fabric. This enables consistent quality control and customization services throughout all processes, from product planning and fabric production to finished product manufacturing.

A company representative stated, "We will continue to pursue technological innovation and product diversification in eco-friendly recycled fabrics, play a leading role in the domestic and international eco-friendly materials market, and contribute to building a sustainable resource-circulating society by addressing plastic pollution and resource depletion."
