Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) announced on June 23 that it recently carried out a rural volunteer activity in the Pyeongchon Village area of Buk-gu, Gwangju, together with Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch and NongHyup Gwangju Headquarters.

For this volunteer activity, around 30 employees from the three organizations visited a local grape farm to assist farmers struggling with a shortage of labor during the busy farming season. They carried out bag packaging work to prevent pests and diseases, and also worked to improve the surrounding environment.

President Cho Ikmun said, "I am pleased that the public and private sectors were able to join forces to support local farmers," adding, "We will continue to engage in sharing activities for the local community in the future."

Meanwhile, the corporation is actively promoting a variety of projects to foster urban-rural coexistence, including support for agricultural activities in rural areas, various programs for returning to farming and rural living, and volunteer work for social contribution in underprivileged areas.
