Exhibiting Authentication, Security, and Network Technologies Based on Post-Quantum Cryptography
LG Uplus announced that it will participate in 'Quantum Korea 2025', which will be held at aT Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul from June 24 to June 26, to showcase authentication and network security technologies based on post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
Quantum Korea is the largest domestic event specializing in quantum technology, covering the latest trends and the industrial applicability of quantum technologies. LG Uplus will organize its booth around 'Alphakey', a cloud-based integrated account management service launched earlier this year, and the integrated security platform 'U+SASE', introducing a security infrastructure capable of responding to quantum computing environments.

The exhibition hall will feature a total of 12 types of exhibition content. In the Alphakey experience zone, visitors can try out the actual authentication process using a tablet-based simulator that replicates both user and administrator environments. Technical explanation panels, introductory videos, and quiz events will also be available.
In addition, a total of five types of actual PQC-based security equipment will be exhibited: ▲U+PQC PUF USIM ▲U+PQC ROADM ▲U+PQC Router ▲U+PQC PTN (Packet Transport Network) ▲U+PQC IPSec VPN (Virtual Private Network). These devices are currently being applied to commercial services for enterprise customers. In the 'PQC Network Zone' located at the center of the exhibition hall, visitors can visually observe the security flow between devices.
Alphakey provides a secondary authentication app that applies PQC algorithms to the user authentication process and supports various authentication methods, including FIDO (international authentication standard), passkey, and simple authentication. In corporate environments, Alphakey enables automation of account management, from account creation for employees to blocking access for former staff.
U+SASE is a cloud-based security platform that integrates network, cloud, endpoint, and security monitoring into a single solution. For network section encryption, the company plans to apply a final candidate algorithm from the KpqC standard.
This exhibition will also introduce the technology roadmap, including an expansion strategy based on CSMA (Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture). LG Uplus plans to expand industry-specific security services based on the U+SASE platform and to advance its offerings with quantum security and artificial intelligence (AI)-based detection technologies.
In addition to PQC, the company also plans to establish a service roadmap for next-generation cryptographic technologies that can respond to quantum computing environments, such as homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs.
Joo Eomgae, Executive Vice President of LG Uplus’s Wireline Business Division, said, "Establishing a reliable security system even in a quantum environment is key to corporate competitiveness," adding, "LG Uplus will create differentiated customer value by delivering practical and highly reliable solutions such as Alphakey and U+SASE to ensure customer confidence."
