Gyeonggi Province to Actively Reflect Residents' Opinions in Environmental Education Plan... Survey and Roundtable Discussions to Be Held

Gyeonggi Province will conduct an online survey from June 23 to June 27, and a "100-Person Roundtable Discussion" on July 2, in order to reflect the diverse voices of residents ahead of establishing the "4th Gyeonggi Province Environmental Education Plan (2026-2030)," which seeks to explore the mid- to long-term policy directions and strategies for environmental education over the next five years.

The online survey is easily accessible to anyone via QR code. The survey asks for opinions on the perceived importance of environmental education, participation experiences, and areas of need for the future. The results will be used to set the direction and demand for environmental education policies with a focus on Gyeonggi Province residents.

The 100-Person Roundtable Discussion will be held at the main auditorium of the Yongin Forest Education Center. On this day, 100 residents of Gyeonggi Province, recruited in advance, will freely share their opinions on various environmental education issues and develop policy proposals. The event is hosted by the Gyeonggi Province Climate and Environment Policy Division and co-organized by the Kangrim Environmental Research Institute, an affiliate of the Geumseong Foundation.

Meanwhile, through the 4th Environmental Education Plan, Gyeonggi Province plans to focus on strengthening environmental education infrastructure linked to local characteristics, expanding capacity to respond to the climate crisis, and vitalizing resident participation programs.
