Gyeonggi Techno Park, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Gyeonggi Job Foundation Excel in Resident-Focused Projects... Incentives Awarded

The "SME Success Project" by the Gyeonggi Institute of Economic Science and Technology and the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, the "0.5&0.75 Job Without Career Breaks" by the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, and the "Gyeonggi Senior AI+ Care" by the Gyeonggi Social Service Institute have been selected as outstanding projects under the public institution responsibility contract program.

On June 23, Gyeonggi Province announced the evaluation results of the "responsibility contract" projects, which were signed last year for ten public service projects aimed at enhancing residents' quality of life.

The responsibility contract system is a policy in which public institutions under Gyeonggi Province annually identify projects that residents can directly experience, promise to deliver tangible outcomes, and are evaluated the following year. Since 2023, Gyeonggi Province has implemented this system to emphasize the responsibility and role of public institutions that have a significant impact on residents' lives.

This year’s evaluation comprehensively assessed the performance of ten projects implemented by fourteen public institutions, including collaborating agencies, using both quantitative and qualitative indicators. To ensure fairness, the evaluation combined the achievement rate of goals set at the time of contract signing, expert assessments, and resident evaluation scores. The resident evaluation was conducted with the participation of 6,292 members from Gyeonggi Province’s online public opinion survey panel.

As a result of the evaluation, three projects received the highest ratings: the SME Success Project (Gyeonggi Institute of Economic Science and Technology, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation), the 0.5&0.75 Job Without Career Breaks (Gyeonggi Job Foundation), and the Gyeonggi Senior AI+ Care (Gyeonggi Social Service Institute).

Going forward, Gyeonggi Province plans to strengthen the momentum of the responsibility contract program by providing incentives such as preferential management evaluation scores and gubernatorial commendations to the four public institutions, including the Gyeonggi Institute of Economic Science and Technology, that delivered outstanding results in these three projects.

Kim Dohyeong, Director of Public Institutions at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through Gyeonggi Province’s unique responsibility contract system, we are working to strengthen the accountability of public institutions and ensure they deliver results centered on residents." He added, "We will continue to identify projects that residents can truly feel, and strive to become public institutions that innovate and collaborate, breaking away from conventional practices and inertia."
