Hoban Construction Wins Jayang 1-4 District Maintenance Project... Launches as 'Moa Town Hub' Perspective view of the Garojutaek Maintenance Project in Jayang 1-4 District, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Hoban Construction.

On June 22, Hoban Construction announced that it was selected as the final contractor at the general meeting of the Jayang 1-4 District Garojutaek Maintenance Project Association held on June 21. This contract is interpreted as part of Hoban Construction's strategy to expand its maintenance business in the eastern region of Seoul.

The project site is located at 249-2 Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, at the northern end of Yeongdong Bridge. The plan includes four apartment buildings with a total of 275 units, ranging from three basement levels to 23 above-ground floors, as well as auxiliary welfare facilities. The site is a major transportation hub adjacent to Yeongdong Bridge, Gangbyeonbuk-ro, and Olympic-daero, and is also close to the commercial area of Konkuk University Station, giving it a competitive edge in terms of living infrastructure.

In particular, Hoban Construction does not view this contract as a standalone project but plans to use it as a key hub for its future Moa Town expansion strategy. If designated as a Moa Town, the area could benefit from an upgrade in zoning, expanded underground parking, and specialized landscaping and community designs, making large-scale complex development possible. This is expected to deliver "excess performance" that goes beyond the traditional limitations of Garojutaek Maintenance Projects.

Hoban Construction has been achieving consecutive successes in securing maintenance projects in Seoul. Last month, the company, in a consortium with Hanwha Construction Division, won the public redevelopment project for Sinwol 7-dong District 2 in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, and has now added the Jayang-dong project to its achievements.

A Hoban Construction representative stated, "Based on our accumulated experience and outstanding technical capabilities, we will create a high-quality landmark that represents Jayang-dong," adding, "Through the expansion of Moa Town, we will dramatically improve the urban landscape and residential environment."
