A Stray Mother Cat Brings Her Sick Kitten to the Hospital Herself
Staff Moved by the Cat's Maternal Instinct and Dedication
The story of a mother stray cat who personally brought her sick kitten to an animal hospital by carrying it in her mouth has become a hot topic.
The American animal-focused media outlet 'The Dodo' recently reported on a special incident that took place on June 9 at Soonggullu Animal Hospital in T?rkiye.
At that time, a stray cat unfamiliar to the staff visited Soonggullu Animal Hospital carrying her kitten in her mouth. When a veterinarian examined the kitten, they found that its right eye was infected with bacteria. The veterinarian immediately began treatment. Fortunately, the infection was not severe.
After the kitten's treatment was completed, staff brought it to the mother cat, who had been sitting at the entrance and had not entered the hospital. The mother cat then picked up her kitten in her mouth and returned to a vacant lot next to the hospital.
A hospital representative said, "I was deeply moved by the mother cat's maternal instinct to care for her kitten," and added, "Although she is not a customer who can pay, we had no hesitation in starting treatment."

The representative continued, "For our hospital staff, simply helping this small family is a great reward in itself," and added, "Being a veterinarian is a profession that requires compassion. We do our best to help all animals, whether they are stray or companion animals."
Online users responded with comments such as, "Thank you for treating the kitten," "The mother cat is really smart," and "So adorable."
Soonggullu Animal Hospital posted a video of this story on social media, and as of June 22, it had received more than 240,000 'likes.'
