[Weather for Tomorrow] Morning Rain... Daytime Temperatures Around 30 Degrees Celsius

On Sunday, June 22, most regions across the country are expected to experience rain until the morning. In the afternoon, temperatures will rise to around 30 degrees Celsius, making it a hot day.


According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the rain that began the previous day will continue until dawn in southern Gangwon and North Chungcheong, as well as the Jeolla region. In the Gyeongsang region, rain will persist until the morning, while Jeju Island will see occasional rain until the afternoon.


The expected rainfall over the two-day period is as follows: 30 to 80 millimeters (with some areas receiving over 100 millimeters) in Gwangju, South Jeolla, Daegu, southern North Gyeongsang, Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang; 20 to 60 millimeters (with some areas receiving over 80 millimeters) in North Jeolla and Jeju Island; 10 to 60 millimeters in northern North Gyeongsang, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo; 10 to 50 millimeters in Daejeon and southern North Chungcheong; 5 to 10 millimeters in Sejong and central-northern North Chungcheong; and less than 5 millimeters in southern Gangwon.


Morning low temperatures are forecast to range from 16 to 22 degrees Celsius, while afternoon highs are expected to reach 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.


As temperatures are expected to rise to around 30 degrees Celsius during the day, people should take care of their health during outdoor activities.


Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels nationwide due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.


Wave heights in coastal waters are expected to range from 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea, and from 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea. In offshore areas (up to approximately 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are forecast at 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
