The meeting was attended by representatives from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, local governments of Yangsan, Gimhae, and Miryang, the Yangsan Fire Station, as well as officials from industrial and agro-industrial complexes.

This meeting was organized to review the response system for preventing heat-related illnesses at industrial sites and to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between organizations, following the recent issuance of the 'attention level' heatwave advisory and the onset of intense heat.

Since May 30, the Yangsan Branch has been operating a 'Special Heatwave Safety Task Force,' focusing on inspecting whether the five basic rules for heatwave safety (water, ventilation, shade, rest, cooling equipment, and emergency measures) are being observed at workplaces vulnerable to heatwaves in the region.

The meeting also included participation from the Eogok Industrial Complex Management Corporation and the Gimhae Summer Agro-Industrial Complex Tenants' Association, who shared on-site response cases and discussed challenges.

Kwon Guhyung, head of the branch, stated, "Severe heatwaves are expected again this year," and added, "We will prevent industrial accidents in advance through close cooperation with related organizations and field-oriented preventive activities."
