Hanwha Life Insurance Transitions to Co-CEO Leadership Structure
On June 20, Hanwha Group announced the appointment of Yeo Seungju, Vice Chairman of Hanwha Life Insurance, as Chief Operating Officer of the group.

Kwon Hyukwoong, former Vice Chairman of Hanwha Ocean, and Lee Kyunggeun, President of Hanwha Life Financial Service, have been named as designated co-CEOs of Hanwha Life Insurance.
Vice Chairman Yeo, recognized as an expert in finance and management, will now serve as Chief Operating Officer, supporting Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seungyoun, and will be responsible for establishing the group's future vision and supporting global business initiatives.
Born in 1960, Vice Chairman Yeo previously served as Head of Strategic Planning at Hanwha Life Insurance, Head of Strategy at Hanwha Group's Corporate Planning Office, CEO of Hanwha Investment & Securities, and Head of Business Operations at Hanwha Life Insurance, before being appointed CEO of Hanwha Life Insurance in 2019.
He has led Hanwha Life Insurance for seven consecutive years and was promoted to Vice Chairman in 2023.
Kwon Hyukwoong, designated as co-CEO of Hanwha Life Insurance, holds a Ph.D. from KAIST and has spent 40 years at Hanwha, serving as CEO of Hanwha Energy, Hanwha TotalEnergies, and Hanwha Ocean.
President Lee Kyunggeun is an insurance sales expert who has held positions such as Head of Planning and Head of Insurance at Hanwha Life Insurance.
He was appointed CEO of Hanwha Life Financial Service in November 2022, led the company to profitability, and made it the top corporate general agency (GA) in the industry.
