Incheon City to Hold "Digital AI Special Lecture" for Fostering Future-Oriented Tourism Talent

Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization, in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, will hold a “Digital AI Special Lecture” three times in total, every Friday from July 4 to July 18, to strengthen the digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) utilization capabilities of the local tourism industry.

The special lecture series has been organized to help tourism professionals understand the latest technological trends and apply them in practice amid the rapid advancement of AI technology and the ongoing digital transformation. Anyone interested in utilizing AI in tourism, including executives and employees of local tourism companies, is welcome to participate.

The first session, themed “Tourism Data-Based Decision Making,” will cover case studies of data-driven decision making in tourism, understanding and analyzing the Korea Tourism Data Lab, and methods for making data-based decisions. The second session, titled “Incheon Tourism AI Practical Workshop,” will focus on planning local products using AI, analyzing customer data, and learning how to automate tasks using AI assistants.

The third session, under the theme “Tourism Industry DX-Biz Technology,” will provide lectures on ICT smart tourism tailored to Incheon’s characteristics and methods for developing AI-based customized platforms.

Notably, this training will feature a team of expert instructors who have achieved scores of 4.5 or higher in communication, expertise, and delivery across various sectors of the tourism industry. In addition, a professional facilitator will be assigned to support all participants in completing practical exercises through one-on-one coaching.

An official from the Incheon Tourism Organization stated, “During this month’s digital convergence talent training, we witnessed a high level of interest in AI technology,” adding, “If you missed the opportunity to participate in previous training or are considering how to utilize AI in your work, this special lecture will be a great opportunity.”
