Since January, the district has been preparing for issuance by establishing relevant ordinances and drafting a basic plan. In May, a special task force (TF) consisting of related departments was formed to accelerate preparations.

Alongside these efforts, the district will hold a naming contest for the local currency. Submissions will be accepted via Naver Form from June 23 to July 4, with each person allowed to submit one entry. The grand prize winner will receive 500,000 won, the excellence award winner will receive 300,000 won, and ten encouragement award winners will each receive 20,000 won. The final name will be selected through preliminary screening, an online preference survey, and a final review by the task force.
