On June 20, Shinhan Investment Corp. announced the launch of a new "Fractional Investment" menu on the Shinhan SOL Securities application, which integrates information and features related to fractional investment. This move is intended to both improve customer accessibility to fractional investments and to take a leading position in the fractional investment market, in line with the institutionalization of the Security Token Offering (STO) market.
Fractional investment is an investment method in which multiple investors jointly own high-value physical assets such as real estate, artwork, or premium Hanwoo beef, and profits are distributed according to each investor's share. It is attracting attention because it allows participation with small amounts of capital and provides opportunities to diversify portfolios by investing in new asset classes.
The new "Fractional Investment" menu allows users to easily and intuitively access all necessary information for fractional investment on a single screen, including a fractional investment calendar, exploration of fractional investment platforms, browsing of closed products, and curation of fractional investment content. According to Shinhan Investment Corp., users can view both current and closed product information, making it useful for identifying investment trends over time.
In addition, the menu is designed to allow users to explore various fractional investment platforms such as Bankcow, Artnguide, and Sotu, making platform comparison and exploration possible. It also provides magazine-style content introducing basic information about fractional investment and current market trends.
Shinhan Investment Corp. plans to further strengthen fractional investment-related features in line with the improvement of the STO system and expansion of the market in the future.
