'Ventilation Air Purifier' Offers Both Air Purification and Ventilation
Proving Its Status as a Market Leader with Five Consecutive Years at No. 1

Kyungdong Navien announced on June 20 that it has been ranked No. 1 for five consecutive years in the ventilation air purifier category of the Consumer Well-Being Environment Satisfaction Index (KS-WEI).

The Consumer Well-Being Environment Satisfaction Index (KS-WEI), jointly developed by the Korean Standards Association and Yonsei University, is a system that selects brands recognized by consumers as improving quality of life. Kyungdong Navien has consistently held the top spot since the ventilation air purifier category was established.

The Kyungdong Navien 'ventilation air purifier' is an 'integrated indoor air quality management solution' that provides both air purification and ventilation. It works by expelling polluted indoor air outside and supplying clean air that has passed through a purification filter system back indoors. Polluted air is discharged outside through a heat exchanger that recovers thermal energy, which allows for energy savings of up to 72% for heating in winter and 36% for cooling in summer.

The ventilation air purifier, which can be linked with cooktops and kitchen hoods, is also effective in managing 'cooking fumes,' which are classified as Group 1 carcinogens. When cooking begins on the cooktop, the 'Navien Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus' activates the '3D Air Hood' to form an air curtain. This system intensively expels cooking fumes while the ventilation air purifier automatically operates to purify indoor air. In fact, experiments conducted by Kyungdong Navien in collaboration with Seoul National University, University of Seoul, and Pennsylvania State University showed that using the 'Navien Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus' reduced the total amount of ultrafine dust in the kitchen and living room by an average of 54% and 70%, respectively. Recently, Kyungdong Navien launched the kitchen appliance brand 'Navien Magic' to expand its kitchen appliance lineup and further strengthen its indoor air quality management solutions.
