Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced on June 20 that it will introduce an "Instant Discount" feature, which automatically applies discounts when customers place orders. Previously, customers had to download coupons separately from the store's detail page and select them during checkout to receive discounts offered by merchants. With the introduction of Instant Discount, customers can now receive discounts immediately without this cumbersome process, greatly improving convenience.

Merchants will also be able to manage discount marketing for customers more easily. This is expected to increase conversion rates and reorder rates, thereby boosting sales. Instant Discount can be applied to both the order amount and the delivery fee paid by the customer. The order amount instant discount is applied directly to the total menu price selected by the customer. Merchants can set order amount instant discounts for all orders, new orders, or orders from Baemin Club subscribers. Instant Discount can also be applied to delivery fees paid by customers for Altteul and Hanjip delivery.

In addition, merchants can now systematically manage all customer benefits, which previously had to be set individually, in one place. Merchants can also check statistical data helpful for store operations, such as the number of orders and order amounts with instant discounts applied.

Baemin is also introducing a new "Baemin Sharing" feature to support merchant-offered discounts. Baemin Sharing allows Baemin to cover a portion of the discount amount set by the merchant. When setting up Instant Discount through Baemin Self-Service, merchants can check the discount support provided by Baemin via the Baemin Sharing feature.

Instant Discount will be implemented starting July 22. Existing coupon benefits and integrated discounts previously set by merchants will either be automatically converted to Instant Discount or merchants will be individually notified and asked for consent. A Baemin representative stated, "With Instant Discount, we can intuitively provide a variety of benefits, which is expected to enhance the positive customer experience," and added, "We will continue to improve our features to make the platform easier to use for both customers and merchants."
