The Korea Tourism Organization announced on June 20 that it will be accepting submissions for the "2025 Korea Tourism Contest" until July 31.
This year marks the 53rd edition of the contest, and the theme is "My Pick My Korea: Beautiful Moments I Discovered in Korea." The competition is divided into three categories: digital camera, drone, and smartphone. Award winners will be selected through both expert evaluation and public participation judging.
A total of 100 winners will be selected and awarded with prize money and certificates: one Grand Prize (Presidential Award and 5 million KRW), three Gold Prizes (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and 3 million KRW each), three Silver Prizes (Korea Tourism Organization President's Award and 2 million KRW each), three Bronze Prizes (Korea Tourism Organization President's Award and 1 million KRW each), and 90 Honorable Mentions (Korea Tourism Organization President's Award and 300,000 KRW each).
Anyone residing in Korea, including both citizens and foreigners, is eligible to participate by submitting entries online through the contest website. The final winners will be announced on November 4, and the winning works will also be featured on Photo Korea, operated by the Korea Tourism Organization.
Yoo Jin-ho, Head of Tourism Content Strategy at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "Through this contest, we hope to discover works that highlight Korea's beautiful moments," adding, "We will showcase new charms of Korean tourism through a variety of online and offline promotions, including an exhibition of the final winning works."
