Korea Investment & Securities Acquires 4.3% Stake in U.S. Asset Manager Clearwater with 272.3 Billion Won Investment

"For the Purpose of Obtaining Capital Gains"

Korea Financial Group announced on the 19th that its subsidiary, Korea Investment & Securities, will acquire a 4.29% stake in the U.S. asset management company Clearwater Holdings for 272.3 billion won.

The acquisition will be made in cash, and the expected acquisition date is June 30.


Korea Financial Group stated that the purpose of this share acquisition is "to obtain capital gains through equity investment, among other reasons."


The company added, "This transaction involves an investment of up to 200 million dollars," and explained, "The acquisition amount was calculated based on the initial exchange rate posted by Seoul Money Brokerage on the board resolution date of June 18, 2025, which was 1 dollar = 1,361.7 won."
