Premier League and NBA to Be Offered in the Second Half of the Year
On June 19, Coupang Play announced that it will launch the standard subscription plan for its optional add-on service, "Sports Pass," in August. The price will be 16,600 won per month. Existing Coupang Wow members will continue to receive the discounted rate of 9,900 won per month with no change in price.
With the Sports Pass, users can watch broadcasts of forty-eight leagues and tournaments. This includes European football such as Spain's La Liga, Germany's Bundesliga 1 and 2, France's Ligue 1, EFL Championship and League One, Eredivisie, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Community Shield, Copa del Rey, Supercopa de Espana, DFB-Pokal, and DFL-Supercup, as well as F1, F1 Academy, NASCAR, LIV Golf, PGA Championship, and NFL.
Users can also watch the "2025 FIFA Club World Cup," which began broadcasting on June 15, the "2025 PL Summer Series" to be held in the United States next month, and pre-season club matches. In the second half of the year, the service will also offer the Premier League (PL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA).
In line with the expansion of its content lineup, Coupang Play has secured a team of commentators with expertise and on-site experience, including its flagship commentator Han Junhee, as well as Lee Geunho, Lim Hyungchul, Jang Jihyun, Yang Dongseok, and Yoon Jaesoo. A company representative stated, "With the launch of the standard Sports Pass subscription, users can now enjoy even more sports content without limits," and added, "We will continue to innovate not only by expanding our broadcast content but also by enhancing the viewing environment and product experience."
